INFOCON has developed a suite of tools to enhance workflow automation. Our workflow solution allows users to track multiple projects through a variety of predefined stages in the business process lifecycle. The power of our solution comes from the application's ability to track both the individual work units and the pertinent business data associated with each of them.

INFOCON has implemented this solution in house to track the electronic forms and documents in our conversion projects. Our workflow is typically modeled by a series of roles assigned to a user's login. Each role corresponds to one step in the business process workflow, and work items are automatically routed to a queue for each role.

The benefit of the solution comes from how the application tracks the business data about items in a project's workflow, including the current status of that item, metadata extracted from the work items (pages, titles, etc.), and user/timestamp data for billing, payroll and reporting purposes. This solution simplifies the workflow for users, and managers alike in turn increasing the accuracy and speed at which a document or form moves through its business process lifecycle.
