Software Development Summary Statement: Document Conversion Automation Software Project Description: Developed custom tools for automating a document conversion process that adds structure to documents, validates them against an SGML DTD and delivers SGML, XML and PDF versions. The project also required the creation of new formatting and standard templates in Adobe FrameMaker+SGML. The new process and software tools resulted in a performance increase of over 400% compared to the previous environment, far exceeding the AF Project Manager’s expectations. Document Conversion Summary Statement: MS-Word Document Conversion to SGML, XML and PDF. Project Description: Conversion of all public USAF Policy Directives, Instructions, Interim Changes, MAJCOM Supplements and integration of supplements; the USAF provides MS-Word files and INFOCON delivers SGML, XML and PDF renditions. To date INFOCON has converted over 250,000 document pages. Electronic Forms Conversion Summary Statement: Forms Conversion from FormFlow to PureEdge ICS 5.1* Project Description: Converted approximately 10,000 form pages from FormFlow 2.15 to PureEdge ICS 5.1* for the United States Air Force. The first phase required the conversion of 5,000 pages in a period of 4 months and was completed on schedule. Additional task orders and contract modifications expanded the scope of work up to a total of approximately 10,000 pages over a period of 14 months. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Software Development and Document Conversion Summary Statement: Converted documents to structured Adobe FrameMaker+SGML files and provided PDF master copy for print Project Description: Document conversion from multiple sources (including hardcopy scanning and OCR) to add structure to documents and validate them against an SGML DTD. The conversion involved 1060 pages of specifications, 820 pages of regional chart catalogs and a 64 page Chart Users Guide. The project required creation of new formatting and structuring templates in Adobe FrameMaker+SGML, and also involved extensive editing and cleanup of graphics. PureEdge/ACORD
Electronic Forms Conversion Summary Statement: Forms Conversion from PDF to PureEdge ICS* Project Description: Under contract with PureEdge Solutions, INFOCON engaged in the conversion of approximately 1,000 form pages from PDF to ICS 6.0* for an insurance industry standards organization. Exact reproduction of the appearance was critical for these files as the forms are individually approved by state insurance commissions and could not change without undergoing a lengthy and costly re-approval process. Electronic Forms Conversion Summary Statement: Forms Conversion from FormFlow 1.1 to PureEdge ICS 6.0* Project Description: On February 3, 2004, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) awarded INFOCON the conversion of 600 form pages from FormFlow 1.1 to PureEdge ICS 6.0* with delivery of the converted files by March 31, 2004. The contract is near completion after exercising two option year extensions for conversion of up to a total of 6,000 form pages. US Department of Agriculture (USDA)
Document Conversion Summary Statement: MS-Word and WordPerfect document conversion to Adobe FrameMaker and PDF Project Description: The USDA needed to standardize documentation used by both internal field personnel and the general public into a format which was easier to manage and supported their editing and update requirements. Infocon converted MS-Word, WordPerfect and hardcopy publications to Adobe FrameMaker and PDF, including conversion of Acrobat forms to online fillable PDF. For several larger documents, the creation of hypertext linked index was also required. US Army
Electronic Forms Conversion Summary Statement: Forms Conversion from FormFlow and PDF to IBM® Lotus Forms™ (formerly PureEdge v6.5) Project Description:The US Army seeks to eliminate paperwork and move to all electronic processes. The Army’s goal is not only to reduce time and money involved with paper processing but also improve the soldier’s access to information and approval authority. INFOCON has been contracted to convert the Army’s library of forms from FormFlow and PDF to IBM Workplace Forms. This project includes a format conversion as well as improvements to form functionality and the addition of accessibility text to enable the converted forms to adhere to 508 compliance standards. An initial conversion of 2400 headquarters forms has been completed and the conversion of an additional 30,000 command and local forms is underway. * PureEdge form software now called IBM® Lotus Forms™ |
